Welcome to the 73rd Annual Yuma County Fair. The theme this year is “Creating Memories and Building Dreams”. On behalf of the Yuma County Fair Staff, Board Members and Commissioners, we are excited to have you join us in this joyous event. It has been a monumental year of change and growth as we have finalized the carnival relocation project, the new parking lots and the completion of our new commercial building, The Legacy Event Center. This project has been in the works for several years and it is with heartfelt gratitude we celebrate the hard work of the Relocation Committee, and the Yuma County Fair employees. Thank you!
The Fair is a wonderful time where members of the community share their time, talents and resources. Participants of all ages enter projects to showcase their skills in art, cooking, crafts, horticulture, photography, quilting, and so much more.
The Yuma community is deeply involved in agriculture. The Fair provides members of 4-H and FFA an opportunity to show and auction their small and large animals (amongst having other projects displayed and judged). Please join us Saturday for the Livestock Auction that takes place in the animal arenas. Last year, the auction raised over 1.9 million dollars for the youth participants, and I would love to see even more raise this year.
We have many great vendors again this year, but I would be remiss not to recognize all the Non- Profit Organizations that participate in the fair to raise money to return directly into our community.
Once again, we will hear the engines roar, the cars crash, and the crowds scream with excitement at the Demolition Derby! This is an event you will not want to miss!
We have a great line-up of entertainment in store for you! Whether you like music or magic, there is something for everyone! The Carnival is sure to provide thrilling rides, fun games and great food! Join us on the Midway or in Kiddie Land to see what there is to offer!
